  The hours on the website and on Google say they're open until midnight. We stopped by last night at 11 and while my boyfriend was in there, they not only turned the lights off but they were incredibly rude. One of the doors was also locked. We were there less than 5 minutes. Whoever was working last night needs customer service coaching.

  Casey's are the starbucks of iowa In every small town that worth a stop has gas station most of which are Casey The food gas & service is fine here. But the history is what interest me the most here. The Fairfax Casey was built as an independent gas station in 1963 by my grandfather as Frank's ApCo service. It was sold to the Nordstrom oil company that owned Handimarts in 1981. in 2006 The family that owned the Handimart chain sold all 33 Cedar rapids gas station for over $60 million to Casey. In some ways this makes me think about automation & scale of economics in other ways I think of income inequality & consolidation of power. Still it's an interesting place to stop when you think about the bigger picture.
